Community Service Requirements
Roosevelt High School students are required to perform 8 hours of community service per school year while enrolled at Roosevelt.
During their four years at the school, students will complete a total of 32 hours.
Ways for RHS students to get involved
- School and district service opportunities
- Clubs often offer several opportunities to complete community service hours
- Interact, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, FCA, Robotics, and TSA
- RHS Athletics often offers several opportunities to complete community service hours
- Camps, meets, clean-ups, and community outreach projects
- Middle, elementary, and charter schools offer several opportunities to complete community service hours
- Tutoring, book fairs, GT events, Fall Festival, field days, and back to school nights
- District groups offer several opportunities to complete community service hours
- Wellness Committee, family fun runs, and community outreach
- Clubs often offer several opportunities to complete community service hours
- Community Organizations
- Milliken Youth Community Leaders (MYCL), Weld County Food Bank, Johnstown Historical Society, Downtown Johnstown Development Association, Rotary, Kiwanis, Hunger Heroes, Communities that Care (CTC), Johnstown and Milliken Police Department, Front Range Fire, High Plains Library District, YMCA, etc.
- Community Involvement (Church groups, 4H, Boy and Girl Scouts) offers several opportunities to complete community service hours
How to ensure that your community service counts
- Get involved!
- Document hours and get the supervisor's signatures
- Download the universal community service hours form
- Download the Bright Futures Grant form- SENIORS ONLY
- Note: Some organizations will give you a form/certificate after the service completion. These documents can be used!
- Complete the following google form for service hours that are completed.
- If paper documents are submitted to the Counseling office, a student is still encouraged to fill out the Google Form!
