New Students

Advisory Program:

All Students have Advisory twice a week for 30 minutes.
Wednesdays - Will be committed to academic needs which include weekly grade checks, academic planning and support.
Thursdays - Will be centered around Social and Emotional Learning Activities and Individual Career and Academic Plans.

Math Lab & Study Hall:

As an administrative team, we feel giving students an opportunity to take an 8th class their Freshman year would be overwhelming for most. We also recognize the transition from middle school to high school will be academically challenging.

Each 9th grade student is assigned a “block” dedicated to a combo class of study hall and a math lab. This class will consist of a student seeing two different staff members during their “block” time. In a Ninety minute block, 45 minutes will be allotted to a study hall and the other 45 minutes will be allotted to the math lab.

The study hall will be led by a certified RHS teacher, and the math lab will be led by a RHS math teacher.

Students will receive an additional 90 minutes exposure to math content and a math teacher per week.
